If 2020 had a theme song it would definitely be Master KG’s Jerusalema which has been played, overplayed and severely misused.

Corporates, government institutions and many other organisations found the track to be one they could use to advertise their expertise.
With time, netizens got tired of the same old and pleaded with bosses to just stop forcing their workers to dance to the song.

Just as the craze started to die down, a clever Kikuyu singer decided to record his own version of the song in his vernacular language.

The artiste identified as Ala C came up with his own gospel version of the song which was coined into Jerusalemu.
And, the big surprise was, it was an all-stars piece which featured the likes of Nameless, Samidoh, Willis Raburu and Desagu to name a few.
The beats kind of veered a little bit to the Kikuyu side and had a Wagithomo sort of spark in them.
Every celebrity featured in the video danced to the best of their ability and fashionably kicked out the monotony of the viral Jerusalema challenge.

It was like the icing on the cake and the break every Kenyan deserved.
As people feasted their eyes on the clip, they could not help but appreciate just how cleverly presented the whole track was.
And oh! Ala C killed it with his vocals. He felt the melody sip into his nerves with every pitch.
The video was shared on Facebook and other social media sites.
As was previously reported by TUKO.co.ke, Kenyan Members of Parliament had also shot their own version of the sensational Jerusalema challenge inspired by Master KG’s hit track.
In earlier preparations during the day, the MPs made a two-line queue along the corridors of the National Assembly as they made their own choreographed moves.
In a video shared by Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris on Wednesday, October 14, the legislators led by the National Assembly majority and minority leaders Amos Kimunya and John Mbadi at Parliament Building made a classic rendition of the song.
