Antoni Porowski auditioned for one Taylor Swift music video (That wasn’t ‘You Need To Calm Down’)
Although this food and wine expert went to school for Psychology, and shortly after returned to the world of cooking and baking, he briefly auditioned for a number of music videos, including one for Taylor Swift.
“Is it true that you auditioned to be in her ‘Blank Space’ music video, were you upset that you didn’t land the role,” Brown asked, with Antoni Porowski answering “yes” both times.
“Do you think that you would’ve done a better job than the man who got it,” Brown continued, to which Porowski said no. Since then, the Fab Five members became pretty close with the Grammy Award-winning artist.
Four of them even appeared in the music video for “You Need to Calm Down,” having a tea party with the artist. (The music video also included several prominent members of the LGBTQ community, including RuPaul’s Drag Race performers and Ellen DeGeneres.)

Antoni Porowski now focuses on food and his role on the Netflix original series
“You Need to Calm Down” cameo aside, fans know Porowski for his role in the Emmy award-winning Netflix series, Queer Eye. Along with the other members of the Fab Five, he helps “make better” local heroes, whether that be with quick make-at-home recipes or healthy meals.
Aside from his role in Queer Eye, Porowski is a restaurant owner, helping to create the menu of his New York City restaurant, called the Village Den. He also recently released a cookbook, Antoni in the Kitchen, which included plenty of personal stories and pictures.
This food and wine guru is also taking his acting skills to the next level, with a set appearance in an upcoming Netflix romantic comedy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Porowski developed the story with Black-ish creative Kenya Barris. Barris, who has a rich overall television deal with the streamer, will produce under his banner Khalabo Ink Society.”
Until then, fans can watch episodes of the Emmy Award-winning reality series, Queer Eye, on Netflix.
